“Not really”, says results from a research conducted on people who went on to acquire more and more of the above things. Apparently, once our basic necessities have been satisfied, real happiness has nothing to do with having more. While you can indeed enjoy all of the material successes listed above, none of them can make you happy unless you decide to be happy first.
True happiness comes from letting go of mental resistance, from being in the present moment, from acceptance of what-is. Happiness is an inside job – no amount of external material success can make up for a mind that is restless and agitated. Happiness is thus not consumed, it is chosen. And you can indeed choose it – right
